  • England Schools Shropshire Qualifier - Monday 27th April

The Format of the Championships is a full handicap stableford which will combine the Team Championships with the Individual Championships. However, if you only have one or two players at your school, they may play, but will only compete for the Individual Championship and the opportunities it offers, which are listed below.

Team events. Your school needs at least 3 players, though there is no limit:

Nett Team Championships – the best 2 from 3 players, with the 3rd counting in the event of a tie.  This school will then go forward to represent Shropshire and Herefordshire in the National Schools Team Nett Championships at Woodhall Spa on July 8th (though it won’t necessarily have to be the same 3 players).

“We travelled from S-o-T to play in a mixed open. We were made to feel very welcome. Lovely course and great food. Would go back again.”
Susan Standeven
“Shrewsbury Golf club is a lovely place. The course is really good although not as dramatic or interesting as some but you'd need to travel further afield. The greens are immaculate and fast. ”
David Joyce
“One of the nicest courses I've ever played on.”
Pete Mullenger
“This course was probably one of if not the best I have ever played. Great condition and the greens were incredible although very fast and tricky.”
